Mr. Hobi scanned my nearly 3000 slides dating from the 1955 through 1993. Although I selected the cheapest "no individual adjustments" option, I can say that I was very happy with the images. Some basic color/contrast correction was done, so it was possible to enjoy them right away. I did some editing myself afterwards, and can say that the slides were scanned with enough resolution (pixels and colors) so that further editing is possible without introducing "noise".

The price was very fair (even better than I originally expected) and Mr. Hobi is a professional and friendly person.

He scanned some super-8 videos for me a couple of years ago, and the results were just as impressive.

So overall I really have nothing but praise for Mr. Hobi! It's worth the trip to Walenstadt if you need some slide/film scanning done.
